This past September, Anna and I had a delightful three week adventure in London, Cardiff, Dublin, Doolin, and Glasgow to celebrate our friends wedding and our 10th anniversary. While we were there, both of us were struck by the fact that you see so many real bodies on stage in the UK. Yes, there are still those that look like they are super models, but many actors on stage and screen look like...well, to put a fine point on it, me. I am excited to share that I am now a member of Equity UK and can be found on Spotlight (the major casting hub in the UK). I am also attending a workshop in a few weeks lead by the amazing team at One On One NYC in London about how to build a transatlantic career. To say I am excited would be a vast understatement. The workshop will entail seminars with casting directors and showcases for agents. My hope is that with my tenacity as an actor and their ability to more acutely see beyond body type, we can create a truly magical partnership. I am still also pursuing my NYC career - the hunt for an agent here continues on!

On Sunday, I had the utmost pleasure to spend the day with the talented film making BFA students at SUNY Purchase. I was cast as the lead in a silent, short film about a burnt out employee and how an underachiever inspired him to get back into the game. I look forward to getting the footage and sharing it with you lovely folks! Speaking of Action - auditions continue, agent submissions go out, and I am readying myself to go to London again in December. I'm going to participate in a workshop through One On One NYC on building a transatlantic acting career! One last note: today is election day. I was able to cast my vote early and was beyond proud to vote Harris-Walz. Please vote. |
