Time has passed, and so has this wonderful run. I am eternally grateful to George Abud, Jake Landau, and the entire team at Off-Brand Opera for giving me this opportunity. 3Penny Opera was not an easy show in many ways. Yes, a challenge as an actor, but George wanted us to use this show as a way to challenge people. This new adaptation of Brecht's work along with new iterations of Weill's music was designed to make the audience feel uncomfortable. It was made to ask you, "Why are you laughing at this? I mean, sure we made it funny, but do you really know what you're laughing at?" Some think of theatre as a mirror to reflect reality. We used a two-way-mirror. Brecht wanted theatre to be a hammer to shape reality. We used a sledgehammer. This show was dark. This show was current. This show was disturbing at times. I was proud to be on stage with this amazing company, with this reshaped production. It was a thrilling opportunity, and I am beyond thrilled that I was able to really make my mark on NYC and show who I am and (some of) what I can do. Currently, I am back into the audition circuit awaiting whatever comes next, but that's always the case.
