I am THRILLED to announce that I will be making my Off-Broadway debut this upcoming January along side this AMAZING company of actors in 3Penny Opera. This is a new adaptation of Brecht and Weill's musical The Threepenny Opera.

From Playbill:
The new adaptation, according to the official synopsis, "sets Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill’s 3penny Opera in present day New York City against the backdrop of a Mayoral Inauguration. Themes of immigration abuse and class warfare burn beneath a vaudevillian veneer of riotous Brechtian comedy."

Tickets are on sale now for our limited run. For more information and to buy tickets, please visit https://offbrandopera.org/3pennyopera. Off-Brand Opera "strives to expand and blur the boundaries of genre and performance practice. We produce cross-disciplinary collaborations in order to foster fresh, relatable, and relevant interpretations of both new and beloved works."

I am deeply honored that I'll be part of this production. I hope that folks can come out and support us this January!

Hello folks! Hope your having a lovely fall thus far!

This photo always gives me joy.

Anywho - thrilled to say that the first set of new demo materials has made its way through the editing process!
The amazing team at Reelarc have just sent me my new VO reels, and I am beyond excited.

Please visit my voice over tab to get a listen at the new materials including commercial copy and new character voices. When we recorded the character, we started with one, then the team asked what else I had. It's the same copy, but done in seven different dialects.

Videos are in the edit process as I type this out.

Like a Fiddler on the Roof!

When we first moved to NYC a decade ago, I was not shy about my dreams. I kept saying, "Broadway by 30." Instead, my 30th was held at my in-laws where we had moved to thanks to the great pause button that was COVID.
I was very lucky when I first arrived; I got reps, booked A Year with Frog and Toad at Casa Manana with a subsequent national tour, and I felt on top of the world. Once back from tour, I kept working at auditioning with little to show for it.

The world didn't know what to do with a plus-sized actor with range. I know this is a career filled with rejections, but I often feel like it is a louder "no" for the larger folks.

After my wonderful two years at Circle in the Square Theatre School, I went back to my full-time job: auditions. I also went back to my full-time feeling of rejection.

This January, a shift began. I had a meeting with the amazing PK Parks at Crystal Ship Artists who was shocked that I was currently neither repped nor booking. She wanted to fix both of those things. I began freelancing with her, and the shift felt stronger.

This past week, I signed my contract for my first booking in 8 years. I will play Lazar Wolf and cover Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof at Argyle Theatre in Babylon, NY.
This is the first pebble that will grow and grow into an immense snowball - my career has finally moved into gear.

I cannot say enough how much gratitude I have to everyone who has been with me on this wild journey. I am honored to have such support in my corner.

Please come and join us if you can. Tickets and information at https://www.argyletheatre.com/fiddlerontheroof. We run April 24 - June 15.

Here is to more to come!

This past September, Anna and I had a delightful three week adventure in London, Cardiff, Dublin, Doolin, and Glasgow to celebrate our friends wedding and our 10th anniversary.

While we were there, both of us were struck by the fact that you see so many real bodies on stage in the UK. Yes, there are still those that look like they are super models, but many actors on stage and screen look like...well, to put a fine point on it, me.

I am excited to share that I am now a member of Equity UK and can be found on Spotlight (the major casting hub in the UK). I am also attending a workshop in a few weeks lead by the amazing team at One On One NYC in London about how to build a transatlantic career. To say I am excited would be a vast understatement. The workshop will entail seminars with casting directors and showcases for agents. My hope is that with my tenacity as an actor and their ability to more acutely see beyond body type, we can create a truly magical partnership.

I am still also pursuing my NYC career - the hunt for an agent here continues on!

On Sunday, I had the utmost pleasure to spend the day with the talented film making BFA students at SUNY Purchase. I was cast as the lead in a silent, short film about a burnt out employee and how an underachiever inspired him to get back into the game.

I look forward to getting the footage and sharing it with you lovely folks!

Speaking of Action - auditions continue, agent submissions go out, and I am readying myself to go to London again in December. I'm going to participate in a workshop through One On One NYC on building a transatlantic acting career!

One last note: today is election day. I was able to cast my vote early and was beyond proud to vote Harris-Walz.
Please vote.

Hard to believe it has been just over a month since we closed A Midsummer Night's Dream and Urinetown to finish out our time at Circle in the Square Theatre School - but here we are!

Select photos from both shows are now in the Production Stills page. Cladwell, Egeus, and Peter Quince will certainly hold special placed in my heart.

Meanwhile, I am auditioning like mad again, and loving it! Keeping my fingers crossed! It's good to be back at it again.

I am now officially an alumnus of Circle in the Square Theatre School! We finished our rep shows last week, loaded out of Theatre Row, and had a touching graduation ceremony on stage at Circle this past Monday.

The cherry on top is that we now have our showcase footage! If you would like to watch the entire show, please click here. If you just wanna see me, click over on my media page to see! You can also hop over to my YouTube for the videos of my 1 minute reel or the full numbers, including with my dear friend Katelyn Chiappone.

I cannot thank the amazing team of faculty and staff at Circle enough. It has been a very challenging two years, and I do mean that in the best of senses. I have grown as a singer, as an actor, and especially as a dancer. I am more prepared than ever to get my name out there and start getting booked.

I was asked if the program was worth it by one of my now former instructors (and dear friend/colleague as they all are now), especially considering my age and experience gap between me and the other students. My response was, "Yes. When I first moved out here in 2015, I thought I knew who I was as an actor. Now, I know who I am, and my god, am I ready."

I have built lasting friendships among my classmates, fostered career- and life-long connections with the amazing faculty (who I am so grateful to now call my peers and friends), and further solidified my foundation and strength as an actor/singer/dancer. I'm already back in the audition game (not that I ever really left), and each one feels better and better. Everyone at Circle has been saying it is a matter of when, not if, I will get work. Let me tell you world, I am ready. Are you?
