Year! (See what I did with the tie in there? So funny.) In honor of the days that have past, I have decided not to do an all out reflection of 2013. Though getting engaged and graduating college do deserve notation. And thusly, they have been noted. Instead, I would like to take this opportunity to focus on the days to come. We can look at the past all we want but as Timon says, "You gotta put your past behind you." So, as we "roll out" the new year (forgive the graphic pun), I want to discuss what will happen, and what I hope will happen, within the year 2014. Here are the "will happen"s: I will open Five Course Love with Minneapolis Musical Theatre in a matter of weeks (look for a blog about that). I will audition like a mad man at cattle calls, individual theatres, and anything I can attend. I will get married to the love of my life, Anna Lewein. I will begin to pay off the mountain of debt that I earned whilst attaining my degree in theatre. I will continue the planning process for my move to New York City in the spring of 2015. Here are the "hope will happen"s, and yes, I have kept them realistic: I hope I will be viewed as a strong, professional artist and that my work will be appreciated. I hope I will land the roles for which I audition. Not all, but enough that I am working throughout the year. I hope I will not eat too much at my wedding and that I will loose a fair amount of weight by that time. I hope I will not go into debt in order to pay off my debt...because that it simply stupid. I hope I will make the transition from Minneapolis to New York happen without a hitch. Again, these are all realistic will's and hope's.
