A Year with Frog and Toad got its origins at the Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis, one of my former homes. This touching show about two friends (correct, Frog and Toad), and the adventures and occasional misadventures they have throughout their year. Based upon the classic children's stories by Arnold Lobel, A Year with Frog and Toad celebrates what it means to have real and honest friendship. Flying kites, swimming (even if slowly), sledding, and eating too many cookies are just some of the shenanigans these amphibious partners get into. Why am I sharing this all with you? Well, I will be actually performing in this production! I will be playing Toad at the amazing Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth Texas. We open in Texas on September 30th (the day after my birthday!), and play through mid-October. This is then followed by a brief tour, then the holidays off, then we tour January through April across the country. For those of you who are in the Minnesota area, I will sadly not be in MN, ND, or SD. However, Iowa and Wisconsin are on the list. Places like Des Moines, Fairfield, and La Crosse. For my NYC pals, were are in several surrounding cities and in New York city herself! Tickets are available at all of these locations now. Just click on the links and you'll be set. I'm going to be keeping updates happening as often as possible. I cannot begin to say how excited I am to begin this process and bring this story of love and friendship to life.
